[Women's Golf] Womens Golf: Point Ties for 5th at AAC Fall Championships; Lowery on ...

PINEVILLE, Ky.   The Point University women's golf team tied for fifth place among 12 schools at the 2017 Appalachian Athletics Conference Fall Championships, hosted by Union College (Ky.), Oct. 2-3, at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Kentucky.  Point and Bryan College (Tenn.) both totaled 658 strokes (82 over par) among their four top golfers and finished 13 strokes behind fourth place Brenau University, the AAC's newest member, which totaled 645 strokes.

 

Senior All-American Courtney Lowery (Greenville, GA) tied for third place with Danielle Bates from Tennessee Wesleyan with each player scoring 149 strokes (5 over par) for the 36-hole event.  Megan Gaylor and Sarah Son, teammates from tournament champion and defending AAC champion Milligan College, tied for first place with scores of 148 strokes (4 over par).
