Thanks Wendy. I bet the RBs love players who not only play with 'customised' balls that have to be individually tested, but also in a range of colours, like Bubba.

Of course, if the original ball was found the provisional would never become the ball in play so there would be no breach of the one ball condition.
Re this last comment: this is a bit of a catch 22 situation.  If the original ball is not found, the provisional is automatically the ball in play, so there's a breach if the provisional is not a precise match.  So the player is risking a further penalty if the original is not found and he has used anything other than the correct match as a provisional.
