SunSport report that the 25-year-old has been demoted from the vice captain's role following another huge bust-up after Saturday's draw against Wolves.

They further revealed that Mourinho blasted Pogba in the dressing room after his error led to Wolves' equalizer last weekend.

The midfielder was reported to have criticized United's style under Mourinho, saying they need to attack more than they are doing.

However, with less than three years on his deal with the Old Trafford outfit, Mourinho is now ready to offload Pogba but the club are demanding £200m.

He was close to joining Barcelona this summer but the deal was blocked towards the end of the window.

The Frenchstar re-joined United in 2016 in the club's record fee of £89 million from Juventus.

On his return, he helped the club win the Europa League title in 2017 but finished trophyless after the 2017-18 season.

NAIJ.com previously reported that Jose Mourinho slammed England defender Phil Jones after losing 8-7 to Derby County on penalties in their EFL Cup third round encounter at Old Trafford.

Goals from Harry Wilson and James Marriott in the 59th and 85th minutes cancelled out Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini's goals as both sides ended 2-2 after normal regulation time.

The Portuguese tactician however expressed fear when the penalties hit sudden death with his two center-backs coming up.
