Lichfield Blues
I’m on my way to the US to watch the launch of Artemis (it’s just my bag watching rockets). Got me thinking in the 60’s this would be massive but does anyone care about things like this anymore or are people just blazae about it. To me it’s incredible that we’re sending people further than any human has ever been from earth.
I can totally get the rocket-watching thing - 100% by chance, we visited Kennedy a few years back and a Space X launch took place as we were in the car park, making our way to the entrance. As the starting point for a day looking into America's side of the space Race and shuttle histories, it was pretty epic! :) I love the early stuff - Mercury, Gemini, Apollo - not SO interested in the current stuff, but it's still pretty cool to have people heading to the moon once more, even if a genuinely lunatic tangerine shit-gibbon's going to steal all the PR thunder.
