Hard-earned point on the road for Bay
THE Seagulls brought home a hard-earned point from their trip to Penybont with the two keepers the stars in a 0-0 draw, played in difficult windy conditions.
Colwyn Bay had a large share of the possession in the first half with home keeper Dan Higgs making three good saves to deny Jordan Davies, with the ball also hitting the bar from a corner, while early in the second half Higgs made another great stop from Ryan Astles.
Alex Moore put a good chance wide after a good run by substitute Aron Williams, who later had to go off injured, and no Bay player could get a finishing touch to a ball drilled across the face of goal by Ethan Roberts.
In the end, however, it needed a couple of big saves by Alex Brown, and Bay defenders throwing their bodies in the way of shots, to prevent Penybont snatching victory as they finished the game strongly.
COLWYN BAY: Alex Brown, Lewis Sirrell, Sol Forde, Jordan Davies, Louis Robles, Ethan Roberts, Alex Moore, Matty Hill (Aaron Williams 72), Ryan Astles, Aeron Edwards (Aron Williams 72, Sam Hart 86), George Hughes. Unused subs: Luke Murphy (G), Sam Hart, Nathan Peate, Issa Kargbo, Ben Hoban.
