Late goal denies Bay in top three clash

0 0

A GOAL three minutes into added on time at the end of the game denied Colwyn Bay U21s victory in their top three clash at home to Gresford Athletic Development team in the FAW Reserve League Premier Conference.

Gresford led 1-0 at half-time with a goal by Sam Bryan on 22 minutes, but the young Seagulls hit back to equalise through Freddie Naylor eight minutes into the second half and then took a 2-1 lead when Luca Moran came off the bench to score on 74 minutes.

That looked like being the winner, but Gresford snatched that late, late equaliser from Oscar Synnerdahl-Evans – a goal, for a 2-2 draw, that prevents Colwyn Bay going back to the top of the table ahead of Llandudno Reserves, who stay top on goal difference.

COLWYN BAY: Jack Moorley, Dylan Culshaw-Roberts (Dan Russell 80), Freddie Naylor, Ben Roberts, Efan Bowden-Williams (c), Dafi Rowlands, Robin Williams (Luca Moran 70), Elliott Bullock, Ben Hoban, Logan Sumner (Anthony Poole 86), Ben Fisher. Unused subs: Jack Hughes (G), Harrison Keyes, Harrison Mills-Morgan, Joe Parker.
