Hibs Women Host Rangers This Midweek
Hibs Women seek to extend their unbeaten league run to five matches as Rangers visit Meadowbank Stadium this midweek.
Kick-off is 7:30pm on Wednesday 18 March in what will be the Hibees’ second post-split fixture of the campaign.
Fixtures
- Hibernian Women Vs. Rangers Women - Wed, Mar 18 2026, 19:30
THE LOWDOWN
Joelle Murray’s side built on three consecutive ScottishPower Women's Premier League wins – secured against Hamilton, Motherwell and Aberdeen – with a 1-1 draw against Celtic at the weekend.
Amy Gallacher's opener on 22 minutes was nullified by Eilidh Adams' equaliser, as the striker flicked on a low driven strike from Rosie Livingstone to bring us level leading into half-time.
A fierce second half battle ensued, but no winning goal was to be found from either side as both teams fought hard for just a smattering of chances on goal throughout.
The score draw puts Hibs on 35 points for the campaign with nine games remaining.
TEAM NEWS
Joelle Murray stated after Sunday’s fixture that her squad is “probably the healthiest it’s been in a long, long time” as she has very few availability issues to contend with.
Club Captain Rachael Boyle missed out at the weekend, but there are no other fresh injury concerns within the squad following the physical battle in Hamilton.
Young midfielder Jess Ramsay remains on international duty with Scotland U17s.
THE VISITORS
Rangers sit just one spot above the Hibees in fourth spot; having accumulated 41 points in total.
It was a losing post-split start for the Gers on Sunday, with Hearts prevailing on home turf over the Glasgow club by three goals to two.
A goal apiece inside eight minutes provided an exciting start before Bayley Hutchinson bagged a second-half brace to all but secure victory for Eva Olid’s outfit, as Laura Berry’s late strike was not enough to spark a comeback for Rangers.
In October, Leanne Crichton’s side lost on their last visit to Meadowbank despite gaining an early 2-0 advantage.
Rosie Livingstone, Kathleen McGovern and Eilidh Adams would all find the back of the net as we secured a memorable 3-2 comeback win in the sunshine.
