Luka Vuskovic’s agent has addressed the latest rumours linking the Croatian centre-back with a move away from Tottenham this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Luka Vuskovic is a player who has consistently attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
Bayern Munich have reportedly shown interest in signing Vuskovic, while RB Leipzig have also been linked with the defender from the Bundesliga.
Elsewhere in Spain, Barcelona are said to have entered the race for Vuskovic, alongside Real Madrid. With interest increasing ahead of the summer window, Spurs will be hoping they can keep hold of their exciting youngster.
Luka Vuskovic agent responds to Barcelona transfer interest
Vuskovic‘s agent has now addressed the rumours and speculation surrounding the teenager ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking about the growing interest, the representative commented on the situation but avoided discussing potential moves while the player remains on loan.
In comments carried by Mundo Deportivo, Zahavi made clear that the defender remains focused on his current club.
“I cannot comment on anything at this time. The player still belongs to Hamburg and is completely focused there,” he stated.
“I can give an update in exactly two months, that is, after his loan ends and he officially returns to Tottenham.”
Vuskovic decision is likely this summer
Spurs will expect Vuskovic back at the club in the summer when his loan spell expires, although a decision regarding his future will likely need to be made once he returns.
Vuskovic has shone in Germany, picking up several personal accolades, including back-to-back Player of the Month awards earlier in the season.
The teenager’s performances this campaign also earned him a place in the Bundesliga Team of the Season so far, alongside players such as Harry Kane.
Several Tottenham defenders could also move on, with some attracting interest from across Europe, which should free up room for the defender to become a first-team regular.
But with Spurs battling for survival, it remains to be seen if the centre-back will choose to remain in north London if Tottenham go down – another loan could be on the cards.
