Rachel Harrison Named Women’s Goalkeeping Coach

0 18

Hibernian FC Women is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Harrison as our new Goalkeeping Coach.

Harrison becomes a key part of Joelle Murray’s coaching staff and, as a UEFA Goalkeeping B Licence holder, will bring a wealth of experience to our backroom team.

The 36-year-old spent the vast majority of her career at Spartans, becoming the club’s first-ever double centurion by making 245 appearances for the Ainslie Park outfit.

A highly respected shot-stopper in the Scottish topflight, Harrison also earned multiple Scotland ‘A’ Squad call-ups throughout her career after performing at youth level for her country.

Since hanging up the gloves in 2024, Harrison has been the Head of Goalkeeping with Spartans FC Academy and has worked as a goalkeeping coach with the Scottish FA across various levels.

Hibernian FC Women Head Coach Joelle Murray commented: “Rachel joins the Club with a great reputation in the women’s game and possesses the exact traits we were looking for in a goalkeeping coach.

“Her qualifications, experience and character makes her a strong addition to our staff, and we are all excited to see her on the training pitch working alongside our First Team goalkeepers, Noa and Rowena.”
