Some thought it completely fair. That was bollix to me, there was no intention of playing the ball and every intention of playing the man. It could have caused serious injury and for all we know at the moment has.
I know, it was a foul all day long. Think you misunderstood my meaning. Wasn't talking about this incident in particular (as has been said, cheap shot and cowardly as the Millwall fecker knew he wouldn't get hurt but could clobber Wagner) I was meaning the team as a whole. We didn't deal with the physical aspect well enough. I think it was a clear tactic of theirs from the off and it worked.
In the short time Dimmi was on they tried to chop him down/hit him hard at least 3 or 4 times. I hoped the days of us being physically bullied were gone.
I didn’t mean you, some were saying it last night on the specific challenge. I wasn’t offering it as an excuse, the game had long gone by then. We’re a bit lightweight - or were last night though I think they did play through us in the challenge quite a lot (I think actually that featured more in their game after they had effectively won it).
