Serie A official Week 24 line-ups: Milan vs. Como

0 3

Milan have Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku upfront for the rescheduled Serie A clash with Como’s Nico Paz and Martin Baturina.

It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 GMT (20.45 CET).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game and Bodo/Glimt vs. Inter on the Liveblog.

This Week 24 fixture was meant to be on February 8, but moved because the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza needed to prepare for the opening ceremony of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games.

For many months, the plan was to move the entire match over to Perth, Australia, until negotiations with the local authorities broke down.

Instead, it was just shuffled along by 10 days once San Siro was back in action.

Milan are unbeaten in Serie A since the opening weekend, and are the only side keeping up with leaders Inter after winning four of the last five.

Adrien Rabiot was sent off against Pisa and is therefore suspended, with Santiago Gimenez a long-term absentee.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic are also not at 100 per cent, but Rafael Leao returns to the starting XI with Nkunku.

Ardon Jashari is also back in midfield with Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci, forming a new trio.

Como are becoming a truly ambitious club in only their second season back in Serie A under coach Cesc Fabregas.

They knocked Napoli out of the Coppa Italia on penalties last week and will face Inter in the semi-finals next month.

Their Serie A form stuttered a little lately, held 0-0 by 10-man Atalanta with a last-gasp saved Nico Paz penalty, then suffering a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Fiorentina.

Alvaro Morata was sent off in that match and is therefore suspended against his former club, with Assane Diao and Edoardo Goldaniga injured.

Martin Baturina has flourished in recent months, but Maxence Caqueret steps in to provide more physicality to the attack, using Nico Paz as a centre-forward ahead of a three-man defence.

Como have lost all three of their Serie A meetings with Milan since returning to the top flight in 2024, including a 3-1 home result back on January 15 with heroics from Mike Maignan.
