Official: Bologna sign Milan midfielder on permanent basis
Bologna have officially announced their signing of Tommaso Pobega on a definitive, permanent transfer from fellow Serie A outfit Milan.
The 26-year-old has spent the last season-and-a-half on loan at the Dall’Ara from Milan, initially signing on loan with an option to buy in the summer of 2024, reuniting with head coach Vincenzo Italiano, under whom he had played at Spezia.
Bologna then negotiated a new loan deal for Pobega in the summer of 2025, this time with a conditional obligation to buy.
How much will Milan receive from Pobega transfer to Bologna?
According to recent reports, the obligation to buy clause was triggered after the first point that Bologna picked up during the month of February, which came in a 2-1 victory away against Torino on Sunday.
Bologna have confirmed on Wednesday that the obligation to buy clause has been triggered and that Pobega is now a Rossoblu player on a permanent basis. He has put pen to paper on a contract that will run until the summer of 2028 with an option for an additional 12 months.
It is understood that Milan will receive around €7m from Bologna for the Pobega transfer.
