Jayson Tatum Teases Injury Return With Trailer For New Docuseries
The Boston Celtics are enjoying the final days of the All-Star break before they return to action to finish out the regular-season campaign. Right now, though, all anyone can talk about is Jayson Tatum‘s potential return from a torn Achilles tendon.
Tatum suffered his aforementioned injury in the playoffs last year, and he’s been working tirelessly in an effort to get himself back on the court as soon as possible. While Tatum has publicly played coy about a potential return this season, all signs point to him being ahead of schedule.
After taking part in a practice with the Maine Celtics (Boston’s G-League affiliate) right before the All-Star break, chatter about Tatum’s return has reached a fever pitch. The murmurs suggesting he is just weeks away from getting back on the court increased again on Sunday night when he released a trailer for a new docuseries called “The Quiet Work.”
This new series will take a closer look at Tatum’s injury rehab and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the work he’s been doing to get himself healthy again. There are five total episodes, with new episodes being aired on NBC on Sunday night.
The fact that Tatum is working with NBC on this project has led fans to speculate that he will make his return to action for the Celtics in a nationally televised game being broadcast on NBC. Of course, it is also worth noting that Boston’s contest against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, Mar. 1, was moved from 6 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET last week.
Whichever way you want to slice it, it looks like Tatum’s return is just around the corner. For the time being, though, the C’s are still without him, and they will look to find a way to take down the Golden State Warriors when they return to action on Thursday night.
