After Wheatley: Man United confirm fresh loan exit for 19yo wonderkid

0 11

Manchester United have sanctioned yet another deadline-day loan move as their academy conveyor belt continues to roll.

They have already sent Ethan Wheatley on loan to Bradford City earlier today.

Rotherham United have officially confirmed that highly-rated starlet Gabriele Biancheri has joined them on loan for the remainder of the season.

The move will see Biancheri reunite with Daniel Gore, who has been with the League One side since the start of the 2025–26 campaign.

This will be Biancheri’s first exposure to senior football.

The 19-year-old is regarded as a standout prospect at Carrington and has consistently impressed throughout the United academy ranks.

Primarily a centre-forward, Biancheri has also shown his versatility by operating on the wing and as a second striker to accommodate Chido Obi at youth level.

He starred at the under-18 level, smashing 34 goals in 49 games before earning a permanent promotion to the under-21s this campaign.

The teenager has continued his strong form in Premier League 2, registering five goals and four assists in just 11 matches.

Cardiff City were widely expected to win the race for his signature, but Rotherham have now swooped in to seal the deal.

The Millers find themselves in a relegation scrap and will be hoping Biancheri’s arrival can spark a late-season revival.

They currently sit 20th in League One, level on points with 21st-placed Burton Albion, with little margin for error.

All eyes will now be on Biancheri to provide goals and inspiration as Rotherham battle to preserve their League One status.
