QUEEN’S PARK FC is pleased to announce the transfer deadline day signing of Nikolay Todorov.
The forward moves from William Hill Championship side Arbroath and joins Sean Crighton’s first-team squad ahead of tomorrow’s league match with Ross County at The city Stadium.
The Spiders head coach said: “I know exactly what I will get from Toddy. He will give us something completely different to what we already have in Michael Ruth, Callum Smith and Liam McLeish.
“He is a proper target man and works hard on the pitch and off it. He can be a battler too and we might need that at this point in the season too. He will certainly fit in with our group.
“He will be ready to go tomorrow night [against Ross County].
Nikolay, who watched Saturday’s 2-1 win over his old side from the stand, added: “I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to come to Queen’s Park and kick on my season.
“I have played with the head coach here and we had a very successful time together as team-mates. Sean is a great professional and he knows what I can bring to the team – physicality, experience and goals.
“I couldn’t get involved on Saturday but I was delighted with the result and an important three points. We have a very strong record at home.
“We have another game against Ross County on Tuesday and this point of the season games come thick and fast – there’s not much time to think about it. I’m excited to take part and contribute.
“It’s tight where we are in the moment but I know from my experience in the Championship a wee run of games can see you move up the table.”
The striker will wear the number 77 shirt for the Spiders.
