The inspecting Match Official – in communication with the Match Referee – has decided to postpone the match this evening following an early pitch inspection.
Until the rain stops, and the pitch starts to dry, there is no possibility of carrying out remedial repairs to several areas which are waterlogged.
An early decision gives supporters, our visitors from Chelmsford City and the Match Officials – including the Referee travelling from the Colchester area – plenty of notice.
Any pre-purchased online Tickets will continue to be carried over for the rearranged fixture.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
