Tottenham eye £26m star to replace Dragusin but Antonio Conte holds the cards

0 1

Tottenham Hotspur have identified a replacement for Radu Dragusin as the Romanian edges closer to a move away from the club.

Roma are continuing to push to land Dragusin after identifying the Tottenham man as their top centre-back target.

Reports indicate that the Spurs centre-back has already agreed personal terms with the Giallorossi and is putting his foot down to complete the transfer before the window slams shut.

It has now emerged that the Lilywhites could turn to another Serie A defender to replace the 23-year-old

Tottenham plotting move for Napoli centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Napoli centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno, whose future at the Diego Maradona Stadium is in doubt.

The 26-year-old, who arrived in a big-money deal from Torino in 2024, has fallen down Antonio Conte’s pecking order over recent months.

His name has now made its way into Tottenham’s wishlist, with Thomas Frank’s men ready to press forward with a move for the Italy international if they lose Radu Dragusin.

Alessandro Buongiorno wants to leave but transfer may depend on Antonio Conte

CalcioMercato say that the centre-back ‘appears to have lost his focus and motivation’ at Napoli after being overlooked in recent months.

Buongiorno is keen to play regularly and is willing to consider a change of scenery before the window slams shut on February 2nd.

However, the outlet concludes that the ‘ball is in Antonio Conte’s court’, with the Italian set to decide whether he is ready to sacrifice the former Torino man mid-season.
