Juventus star Thuram would ‘never’ join Inter, Kolo Muani has no Tottenham regret
Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram says he’d never play for Inter, but would be happy to reunite with Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus midfielder Thuram spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport before today’s key Serie A match against Napoli.
The Bianconeri are three points below a Champions League spot, but have won 11 games from 17 under their new coach Spalletti.
Thuram explained how the Italian tactician tries to help Juventus players in every circumstance, not just on the pitch.
“He’s put up lots of little notes in the video room. They’re useful information,” Thuram said.
Khephren Thuram: ‘I can become a stronger player’ thanks to Spalletti
“There’s one that reminds us to turn our heads on the pitch. I’ve learned from all my coaches, but Spalletti is the one with the most experience. It’s true, he’s brilliant, and he sees things others don’t even imagine. I can become a stronger player thanks to him.”
Juventus are looking for a new centre-forward in the January window and had been in talks with France international Jean-Philippe Mateta for several days before turning to Youssef En-Nesyri.
Thuram shared the Juventus dressing room with another French striker, Randal Kolo Muani, in the second part of 2024-25.
“Mateta didn’t call me and Randal is doing well at Tottenham,” Thuram said.
“When you are a player, you need to turn page quickly.”
The Juventus star feels his compatriots Benzema and Kanté could still make the difference in any European league, so he’d gladly welcome them at the Allianz Stadium.
“Of course, we are talking about players who are still very strong and one feels good at Juventus,” he said.
“Football is changing and now champions play until 40. Benzema is 38, but he knows how to score and he’s won the Ballon d’Or. He would make the difference at Juventus, in Serie A and in every competition in the world. The same goes for Kanté.”
Khephren Thuram: ‘I’d never join Inter’
Would Thuram like to play with his brother Marcus at a club level?
“Not at Juve. Marcus has his own team and we play together with France. That’s enough,” replied the Juve star.
How about Khephren joining Inter? There were reports that the Nerazzurri were interested in him just a few weeks ago.
“You can’t keep up with all the rumours. I’m happy at Juventus and I would never go to Inter,” concluded Thuram.
