Official: Roma terminate Bailey loan; Jamaica international returns to Aston Villa
Roma have officially confirmed the early termination of Leon Bailey’s loan deal, with the winger set to return to Aston Villa by mutual agreement between the two clubs.
The Jamaican international joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2025 but struggled to secure a consistent role in the squad. Bailey made a total of 11 appearances for Roma across all competitions, finding opportunities limited as the season progressed.

In a brief statement, Roma confirmed that the decision was taken in agreement with Aston Villa, allowing the player to return to the Premier League side with immediate effect.
The move brings Bailey’s spell in the Italian capital to an end after just a few months.
Roma thanked the winger for his professionalism and contribution during his time at the club, wishing him the best for the next stage of his career. Bailey will now look to relaunch his season back in England, where Aston Villa will decide his role for the remainder of the campaign.
