O'Hora: Nowhere Near Our Standards

Hibernian defender Warren O'Hora was dejected at full time, after the Hibees exited the Scottish Cup at the hands of Dunfermline.

The hosts claimed a 1-0 victory in stoppage time, after Kieran Ngwenya’s header deflected off Miguel Chaiwa in the last minute.

Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Warren O'Hora admitted the performance was not good enough.

"It's really hard to take. We were nowhere near the level we are usually at. We didn’t take our chances and conceded off a set piece, which really sums it up.

"It’s a very hard one to take and no doubt the fans are going to be angry, and it’s hard for them to take as well. It wasn’t good enough today."

We had chances to take the lead, but we couldn't convert and ultimately fell short at East End Park.

"I think in the first half, Bowie gets a big chance, a one-on-one, and these things happen. If we take that out of it, I think the opposition looked like they were still in the game and trying to create things, but they didn’t really get any clear-cut chances in the first half.

"We got another chance in the second half from a header from Thibault, and again the keeper saves it. As a performance, I’m not just pointing out those two moments and putting it on them. Like I said, we were nowhere near where we wanted to be. The level wasn’t there, and there was no real intensity to what we usually do and we got punished for it.

"It’s hard to pick ourselves up right now. The emotions are still very raw. We need to take this on the chin because it’s not good enough for this Football Club. We know that, I know that, and the players know that. The Scottish Cup was a genuine opportunity for us to go and do something, and we let that slip today."
