Juventus have agreement for free Mingueza transfer, but push for January move
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus have an agreement in place for Óscar Mingueza’s free transfer in June, but the Bianconeri’s director, Marco Ottolini, has remained in Spain to negotiate a January transfer with Celta Vigo.
Spanish full-back Mingueza is set to become a new Juventus player, either in the summer or in the January transfer window.
Juventus agreement with Mingueza
According to Gazzetta and Tuttosport, the Bianconeri have reached an agreement with the Celta Vigo defender for a four-year contract worth €1m per season, almost twice as much as Mingueza earns in the Spanish club, circa €600,000.
Juventus are now pushing to sign the 26-year-old in the January window, paying a reduced fee to Celta Vigo.
Talks between the two clubs will continue in the coming hours, and reports suggest that the Old Lady will have to pay from €3m to €5m to secure the defender’s signature in the winter transfer window.
Mingueza has one goal and three assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season and has collected four international appearances with the Spain national team.
