Mic’d-Up Mike Vrabel Issued This Challenge To Patriots Star Before Huge Play
Milton Williams proved his worth — and then some — in the Patriots’ home playoff win over the Chargers.
The star defensive tackle sacked Justin Herbert twice during New England’s 16-3 wild-card win over Los Angeles. Williams’ second sack came on the Chargers’ final play and sealed the victory for the Patriots, who put on a dominant defensive performance.
Head coach Mike Vrabel was mic’d up during the game, a new video shows him telling Williams to “go win the game” moments before the clinching sack.

Williams showed some rust in Week 18 after missing five games due to an ankle injury. But the prized offseason acquisition was a force against the Chargers, leading a Patriots pass rush that sacked Herbert six times.
Williams and the Patriots now will prepare for a divisional-round matchup with the Houston Texans next Sunday. The Texans have arguably the best defense in football, so New England might need Williams and company to do to C.J. Stroud what they did to Herbert.
The Texans and Patriots are scheduled to kick off from Gillette Stadium at 3 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos or Buffalo Bills.
