Tottenham want to sign teenager who is behind only Lamine Yamal in Europe
Lamine Yamal is the only teenager who has outperformed a top Tottenham target this season ahead of the January transfer window.
It has been confirmed by Tottenham officials that Spurs are now prioritising signing established stars who would improve their starting eleven.
However, reports indicate that the Lilywhites are also continuing to look at the best young players across Europe, and one particular Bundesliga starlet appears to have caught the North London club’s eye.
The player in question is Yan Diomande, for whom Tottenham have held advanced talks, according to various sources.
The Ivory Coast international has been nearly unstoppable this season, with six goal contributions in 12 Bundesliga matches, and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Spurs target is now one of the hottest young properties across Europe.

The Tottenham Hotspur target has an average performance rating of 7.38 this term, which is bettered only by Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal (8.22).
Spurs fans will also be excited to know that the teenager who comes in third is Luka Vuskovic, who continues to have an outstanding loan spell at Hamburg.
Spurs will have to battle half a dozen clubs for Diomande
As one would expect for an attacker who is putting up these kinds of numbers, a whole host of clubs are reportedly on the Ivorian’s trail.
In fact, it was reported by TEAMtalk a couple of days ago that six Premier League clubs could challenge Spurs for Diomande.
The same outlet revealed that Leipzig would only consider letting the 19-year-old leave if an offer comes close to his £87m release clause.
