Mandragora set to sign new Fiorentina contract
Rolando Mandragora has agreed to sign a contract extension until 2028 with Fiorentina, despite reports of a possible exit over the summer.
Fiorentina midfielder Mandragora will continue his career at the Stadio Franchi, having agreed to extend his expiring contract to 2028.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that the two parties shook hands circa 20 days ago, and that the new agreement will be officially confirmed in the coming days.
Mandragora’s current contract expires in June 2026. Other media had linked the 28-year-old with leaving the Stadio Franchi last summer, with Italian and foreign clubs reportedly interested in securing his services.
Details behind new Mandragora’s contract at Fiorentina
However, Mandragora and Fiorentina never really thought about parting ways, and, as we already reported, negotiations between the two parties resumed in September, and didn’t take long to reach a positive outcome.
Mandragora will get a pay rise, reaching nearly €2m per season, until 2028. The new contract includes an option to extend for a further campaign.
Mandragora has scored two goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season, but produced nine goals and six assists in 43 matches last term.
