Good to see him coming on for Paik yesterday and the team not suffering. He’s been played out of position slightly previously as it looks obvious he’s better playing deeper with the game all in front of him rather than back to goal or on the half turn playing at 10 or the top of a midfield 3.
Paik had a dodgy 10 minutes giving the ball away cans was on a yellow. Good for the evolution of the team and Davies as a manager that he feels he can split the Paik/Iwata combo as you can’t play them every game, especially as Iwata is one we have no cover for like for like. But when either is off it from now on I hope he trusts Doyle or even Leonard.
The bench can affect games in a big way. BOS was shaking his head and looked pissed off but I hope him and Laird are rotated regularly and bought off early as there’s no drop off in talent when we do so
