Serie A official line-ups: Lazio vs. Roma
Boulaye Dia, Pedro and Mattia Zaccagni lead the Lazio attack against Roma’s Evan Ferguson, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Matias Soulé in the early Derby della Capitale.
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 11.30 UK time (10.30 GMT).
This is always one of the most hotly anticipated fixtures in the calendar, as the bitter rivalry runs deep in the Eternal City.
It is even more intriguing now that Maurizio Sarri and Gian Piero Gasperini are on the benches, two very attack-minded coaches.
They also have problems coming into this clash, as Lazio lost two of the opening three games, around a 4-0 home win over Hellas Verona.
Matias Vecino, Samuel Gigot and Manuel Lazzari are still out of action, with Nicolò Rovella ready to start despite not being 100 per cent fit.
There are some big surprises, as while Taty Castellanos has shaken off a knock, it is Boulaye Dia who leads the attack with Zaccagni and ex-Roma veteran Pedro, rather than Matteo Cancellieri.
Roma had won their first two matches by 1-0 scorelines against Bologna and Pisa, but suffered a surprise home defeat by the same result to Torino.
Paulo Dybala sustained an injury in that match and misses out with Leon Bailey and Wesley, as the Brazilian has a stomach bug.
Mario Hermoso is not fully fit either, so Zeki Celik and Devyne Rensch come in, with Ferguson preferred to Artem Dovbyk.
The big surprise is the first start of the season for Lorenzo Pellegrini, who has been told his contract won’t be extended after June 2026.
