"Come on": Benjamin Sesko breaks silence after half-time substitution vs Chelsea

Manchester United returned to winning ways with a 2-1 Premier League triumph over Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Benjamin Sesko was picked upfront against the Blues, and he played his part in the victory on Saturday.

Sesko won a crucial aerial duel against Trevoh Chalobah. This put Bryan Mbeumo through on goal before Robert Sanchez’s red card tackle.

Sesko completed all of his passes and duels on the day, but he could not score his maiden goal and was unluckily substituted at the break.

Casemiro received yellow cards for a couple of soft fouls. His sending off before the interval meant that Sesko was sacrificed for Manuel Ugarte.

Despite the early substitution, Sesko was in good spirits after the game and posted a lovely message on Instagram for the Red Devils faithful.

He posted: “Fighting all together, no fear. Old Trafford buzzing, one mission. Keep going! Come on, Man United.”

Sesko has had a tough introduction to English football. He has been unable to provide a goal or an assist in the opening six games of his United career.

The Slovenian has had a few chances upfront, but none have been clear-cut. He had the perfect platform to break the deadlock yesterday against the Blues.

However, Casemiro’s unfortunate red card changed the complexion of the game. Manager Ruben Amorim took Sesko off for Ugarte’s midfield entry.

The former RB Leipzig star needs to keep on improving. He should be a potent threat in front of goal once he adapts and finds his goalscoring rhythm.

United’s next league game will be against Brentford on the road on Saturday. The club have not won in their last three trips to the Bees with just one point.

They have the opportunity to end the dreadful run next weekend. Sesko will surely be eager to break his goalscoring account against the Bees in west London.
