Red Sox Repeat Late Game Heroics In Win Over Tampa Bay Rays

After being tied in the seventh inning, the Boston Red Sox made a repeat of Friday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays by scoring late to avoid extra innings with a 6-3 win.

Kyle Harrison struck out five batters in 6.0 innings in his Red Sox starting pitching debut, keeping the Rays to only one run before the Rays came back in the seventh.

The Red Sox were able to pull ahead in the ninth inning thanks to runs batted in by Trevor Story, Masataka Yoshida, and Romy Gonzalez, leaving Aroldis Chapman to retire the Rays in the ninth.

The Sox are 10-2 against the Rays this season.
