Bernardo Silva targeted by Juventus for free transfer from Manchester City
After Kevin De Bruyne joined Napoli as a free agent, Juventus are reportedly planning to make a similar approach if Bernardo Silva decides to leave Manchester City.
The Portugal international is only under contract at the Etihad until June 2026, so in a couple of months could negotiate a free transfer for next summer.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus have been laying the groundwork for a potential swoop in the 2026-27 campaign.
Bernardo Silva could follow De Bruyne to Serie A
They were inspired by the success stories of Napoli with De Bruyne, also from Manchester City, and Milan picking up Luka Modric for free when his contract with Real Madrid ran down.
Bernardo Silva only celebrated his 31st birthday in August, so he still has plenty of career left in him to make an impact in Serie A.
He has 103 senior caps for Portugal and has been at Manchester City since 2017, when he made the €50m transfer from AS Monaco.
Juventus will hope that he is still hungry enough at the end of the season to seek a challenge in Serie A rather than go to MLS or the Saudi Pro League at age 32.
