Manchester United ace Andre Onana once again grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons, as Cameroon suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Cape Verde in the CAF World Cup qualifiers.

Onana started between the sticks for Cameroon on Tuesday evening and endured a nightmare outing.

He made a huge blunder, gifting the game-defining goal to striker Dailon Livramento.

In the 54th minute, the 24-year-old surged forward from his own half, brushing aside challenges before racing clean through on goal.

Onana had all the time to rush out and narrow the angle.

Instead, he remained rooted to his line and allowed Livramento to slot past him with ease.

It was a staggering lapse of judgement, the kind expected from a rookie goalkeeper rather than an experienced Champions League finalist.

That moment highlighted his low confidence, poor decision-making skills and technical flaws in his shot-stopping.

The 29-year-old has made similar errors at United since arriving from Inter Milan in 2023.
