TreVeyon Henderson Makes Major Announcement After Patriots’ Debut
The New England Patriots opened the 2025 campaign with a tough 20-13 loss at the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1. A lot of eyes were on rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, but he ended up having a fairly quiet NFL debut.
Working in tandem with Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson racked up 27 yards on five carries and caught six passes for 24 yards. The Pats’ offense as a whole struggled against the Raiders, but Henderson’s lack of involvement throughout the day was a bit of a head-scratcher.
It’s only one game, and chances are New England will improve as the season goes along. While the team may have lost on Sunday, Henderson revealed on Tuesday that he enjoyed a major win off the field recently.
Henderson is known for being a very private person, but he pulled back the curtain in his latest post on Instagram. That’s because Henderson announced that he is engaged to his girlfriend after recently proposing to her.
“‘Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.’ Proverbs 31:30,” Henderson said alongside a photo of him and his girlfriend with her flashy new ring.
Messages of congratulations came flying in for Henderson, which has become a common theme for him as of late. After getting selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Henderson was arguably the Patriots’ top player during their work over the summer.
Now, Henderson will focus on translating his strong play during training camp and preseason action into success during the regular season. The Pats will head south for Week 2, where they will take on their AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins.
