Italian newspaper urges Guardiola to sign Donnarumma: ‘What are you waiting for?’
James Trafford’s blunder in Manchester City’s 2-0 loss against Tottenham today prompted Gazzetta dello Sport to ask Pep Guardiola: ‘What are you waiting for to sign Gigio Donnarumma?’
Football Italia reported four days ago that Manchester City and PSG had entered direct club-to-club talks for Italy captain Donnarumma, who is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans and has already bid farewell to French fans.

The Italy captain has less than a year left in his contract with PSG, and the Ligue 1 giants have already signed a replacement in Lucas Chevalier.
‘Guardiola, what are you waiting for to sign Gigio?’ wrote Gazzetta dello Sport after today’s game, urging Manchester City to sign the Italian captain.

The pink paper also provided some updates on negotiations, confirming that Gigio is a transfer target for the Premier League giants even if Guardiola can already rely on four goalkeepers.
Galatasaray have targeted Ederson, but are unwilling to offer more than €10m for the Brazilian shot-stopper, while Manchester City want to lower PSG’s asking price for Donnarumma, which is between €40m and €50m, as Football Italia already reported.
