Breakthrough in Morata deal as Como, Milan and Galatasaray reach agreement
Alvaro Morata may finally be able to complete his move to Como, as SkySport are reporting that Milan and Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Cesc Fabregas’ side over the terms of the deal.
Morata’s transfer was seemingly stuck in between the three clubs, with Galatasaray refusing to terminate the forward’s loan contract without some sort of compensation.
Sky are now reporting that Como will pay Galatasaray €3 million plus bonuses, in addition to the €12 million they will pay to Milan – for a total package of between €15-16 million.
Morata saga unblocked, move to Como imminent
If the reports are correct, nothing will prevent Morata from joining the Serie A side now. The player himself had already reached an agreement with Como and was trying to push for a transfer himself.
For Galatasaray, they will earn a tidy sum in compensation as they say goodbye to the striker who scored seven goals and provided three assists in 16 appearances for the Turkish club.
