Sam Oguntayo joins Maidstone United

The 22‑year‑old arrives following a stint at Chelmsford City, bringing a blend of pace and attacking flair to our defensive line.

Having featured prominently for the Clarets in 2024–25, including making his league debut in a goalless draw against Maidstone back in January 2025, Sam impressed with his willingness to get forward and contribute in transition play.

Prior to his time in Essex, Oguntayo had spells with Lewes and Eastbourne Borough, where his aggressive, offensive-minded style as a full-back caught the attention of many.

We look forward to seeing Oguntayo combine overlapping runs with solid defending and deliveries from wide areas.
