Emerson Royal and Wesley linked transfers are on time

Everything is on track for the transfer domino effect, as Milan’s Emerson Royal flies out for his Flamengo medical, while Wesley is expected to arrive for Roma over the weekend.

The timing of the moves is entirely according to plan, as we had already reported that Emerson Royal would undergo his medical tests with Flamengo on Saturday.

That was confirmed with the image of the former Tottenham Hotspur full-back on the plane to Brazil with his agent, Elvis Garcia Barrera.

It is going to be a permanent transfer worth circa €9m.

Emerson Royal in, Wesley out for Flamengo

Once Emerson Royal has arrived, Flamengo can then release their full-back Wesley to fly out for his medical with Roma.

That deal was done over the last few days for €25m plus a further €5m in add-ons, and they were just waiting for the club to find a suitable replacement.

Wesley dropped several hints too, saying goodbye to his teammates and visiting his local barber for the final time.

The paperwork is being completed and he should fly out on Saturday.
