Bruins’ Rookie Makes Thoughts On Landing With Boston Extremely Clear
The Boston Bruins have been busy bringing new faces to town this offseason, which was evident with their work during the 2025 NHL Draft, when they selected seven players to join their squad.
While James Hagens, who was selected with the No. 7 overall pick, was the highlight of this class, the B’s also landed another center with tons of potential, William Moore, with the No. 51 overall pick in the second round.
At just 18 years old, Moore is a very raw prospect, as he only recently committed to play for the Boston College Eagles at the collegiate level. However, he could very well turn himself into a star for the Bruins, and he recently revealed how excited he is to have landed with Boston in the 2025 draft.
“I’m glad everything worked out like it did,” Moore said, per Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com. “I’m in a good spot right now. I’m very happy where I am. It couldn’t have worked out better.”
Moore spent last year playing for the US National Development Program, racking up 27 goals and 32 assists in 64 games of action. While the Bruins just picked him, he will likely spend some time over the next couple of years playing for Boston College before making the jump to the pros.
If Moore can develop right alongside Hagens, who also plays for the Eagles, Boston will be a great spot moving forward. Moore is thrilled to be with the B’s, and if he can eventually become a key contributor for them in the NHL, the feeling will be mutually from the team and their fans.
