Preview: Millwall U21s friendly

0 0

Kevin Nugent brings his young Lions side to Kent this weekend as they continue preparations for the upcoming Professional Development League campaign.

Millwall finished third in the South Division last season, narrowly missing out on the title by just a single point. So far this pre-season, they’ve recorded a 4-3 win over Kinetic Academy and a narrow 3-2 defeat to Luton Town U21s.

George Elokobi’s side picked up their first pre-season win last Saturday against Isthmian Premier newcomers St Albans City. A well-taken free kick from John Gilbert and a late goal from a trialist sealed the victory.

With this being the first of four remaining friendlies, expect more minutes for the signed players as they build fitness ahead of the league opener on Saturday 9 August.

Tickets will be available on the turnstiles, or you can purchase in advance via the Fanbase app.
