Reports Al-Hilal rival Galatasaray with new Osimhen bid
Reports in Italy claim that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have come back in with a new offer for Victor Osimhen to rival Galatasaray, who continue to haggle with Napoli over the payment terms for the Nigeria international.
For the second summer in a row, Osimhen is expected to be sold by Napoli after a permanent move away from the Stadio Maradona fell through at the end of the last summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who spent the 2024-25 season out on a successful loan with Galatasaray, had a €75m release clause valid for teams outside of Italy in his contract, which has since expired.
Reports Al-Hilal submit new Osimhen offer
Napoli are still, however, holding out for the same transfer fee, and expect to be paid in no more than two instalments for the former Serie A Capocannoniere.
That has been the sticking point for Galatasaray, whose most recent offer came to the required €75m, but still over several instalments. Specifically, Galatasaray had been prepared to spend €40m up front, and then pay the remaining €35m in instalments.
According to reports from Matteo Moretto, Al-Hilal came back in with a new offer for Osimhen overnight, which is reportedly worth the requested €75m, but split into two equal instalments of €37.5m.
The Saudi Pro League side had already submitted an offer for Osimhen earlier in the summer, and had been prepared to offer a staggering €30m-per-season contract, which the player turned down midway through June.
