Wesley given 25m price tag by Flamengo for eager Roma
Roma have reportedly offered €20m for Brazilian wing-back Wesley, but Flamengo asked them to match the €25m bid by Zenit St. Petersburg.
Football Italia had already written extensively about the pursuit of Wesley, a player who coach Gian Piero Gasperini wanted even last season with Atalanta and is now hoping to finally capture at the Stadio Olimpico.
Wesley price tag keeps changing
According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, the offer on the table is now at €20m, which Roma believe ought to be sufficient.
However, as Flamengo had agreed terms for a €25m sale to Zenit St. Petersburg only for the player to turn it down, they maintain any successful bid must be on a similar level.
This was already a drop on the original and rather hopeful €30m tag.
Wesley has made it clear his preference would be to come to Serie A for the Giallorossi, so Roma hope he can help keep the costs of the transfer limited.
The right-sided wing-back turns 22 in September and has two senior caps for Brazil.
