Ribeyenick_pIanTIt's a great way to start, but we shouldn't be making this game a 'massive' game imo.
It's a good time to play them in as much we get the favourites out of the way even before the window shuts.
Not a free hit, but as near as it gets.
This. And has anyone else remembered who we played 30 years ago on our return to the Championship on the first day of the season? I'd love a repeat of that - 1-0 down, three wingers (Donowa, Bowen for his debut and Otto) come on and keep forcing the Ipswich line deeper and deeper until I swear I heard a spring go pop just before we equalised. Went on to win 3-1 and set up for a cracking first half of the season.
Just hope BPF isn't next season's Bart Griemink...
I had high hopes for Jason Bowen but turned out to be quite disappointing. I'm sure I read he was ill a few years ago, can't remember what with though.
ALS, I think. Poor guy.
I really liked him, he just didn't fit the tactics of the era. At least my memory is that he didn't quite work as a winger or second striker, while he'd probably have been very good in a 4231.
