Career So Far: Caley Gibb
Caley Gibb has joined Hibernian Women on a one-year deal following her successful loan spell last season - here is a reminder of her career so far!
Aged just 15, Caley was handed her senior debut for Hibernian by current Head Coach Grant Scott in a Scottish Women's Premier League clash versus Motherwell on 15 May 2019.
Four days later, she appeared off the bench to make her second appearance for the Club and assisted Jamie-Lee Napier in a 6-0 rout of Rangers in Benburb.
The versatile defender left Hibernian that summer to join Spartans in 2019, spending five years with the Edinburgh club until July 2024.
Gibb was a part of the Spartans squad that reached the Scottish Cup Semi-Final during the 2023/24 campaign, starting the match versus Hearts at Hampden.
Caley opened the scoring for Spartans versus Hibernian in November 2023 - though Hibs would strike back to secure a 4-1 victory at Ainslie Park.
The 21-year-old made 33 appearances and scored seven goals during the 2023/24 campaign, before joining Thistle ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Gibb made 19 league appearances for Thistle during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring twice, before making her Hibernian homecoming in February 2025.
The versatile defender would make her welcome return to Hibs Women on a short-term loan deal, bolstering the squad ahead of our ScottishPower Women’s Premier League run-in.
Caley played 10 times for the Hibees as they romped to title success, with four starts to end the campaign following her six initial substitute appearances.
The nimble full-back excelled in her role, deputising excellently when called upon and shone in our final matches; consistently impressing with her work-rate, challenges and bursts forward with the ball.
She also crucially assisted Kathleen McGovern as Hibs secured a vital 4-2 win over Celtic in our final home match of the campaign.
Gibb started on the final day at Ibrox and was there to lift the trophy following our historic victory in Govan!
