West Ham United eye swoop for Liverpool midfielder who needs a fresh start

0 2

Liverpool’s summer transfer business has caught the attention of fans after Arne Slot has made some promising signings.

Their arrivals this summer include Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez so far.

With a number of current Liverpool players facing an uncertain future, it is highly likelt that they remain in the market for more new players.

Striker Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move to Napoli and if he leaves, which is looking highly likely, then a new attacker would be signed to replace him and lead the team’s attack next season.

Liverpool set to go through major changes

Another player who could be offloaded this summer is left-back Andy Robertson. Interest is increasing from Atletico Madrid in his services.

Federico Chiesa, who joined the club last summer, is being monitored by Serie A clubs and his spell could end early at Anfield.

Another midfielder, who has seen little playing time at the club under Slot, could be shown the exit door this summer with interest increasing from a Premier League club.

According to The West Ham Way, the Hammers have begun monitoring midfielder Tyler Morton.

Morton struggled to break into Slot’s midfield setup, earning just five starts in 2024/25.

A shoulder injury, followed by surgery early in the year, interrupted any potential momentum.

His performances during loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City have demonstrated his talent but at Anfield, the midfielder has lacked opportunities and continuity.

In order to further develop his career, the midfielder could be open to a move to West Ham and the Hammers provide the opportunity to play Premier League football.

Potter and his team are building a midfield that marries energy with technical consistency and Morton fits that mould perfectly.

For Morton, a move to West Ham could be career-changing. He now faces a clear pathway to regular first-team football.
