Thomas Frank may replace Wilson Odobert with £25m winger he is ‘crazy’ about
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for a Serie A star this summer, who Thomas Frank is a big fan of, and the Lilywhites can land the player at a relative discount.
It appears that Tottenham Hotspur’s focus at this stage of the transfer window is to strengthen their attack, with several wide players being heavily linked with a move to N17.
The likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Eberechi Eze are rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, while several reports have also suggested that Spurs are eyeing RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons.
It was reported two months ago that Tottenham are plotting a move for Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen, having been impressed by his performances at the Stadio Olimpico last season, and a new report has now revealed what Thomas Frank thinks about the 24-year-old.
Thomas Frank is a huge admirer of Isaksen
This report comes from La Lazio Siamo Noi, who say that Thomas Frank is ‘crazy’ about Isaksen, with the 51-year-old having previously tried to take the player to Brentford.
The outlet alleges that Tottenham are likely to make a move for the Lazio man this summer if they decide to offload Wilson Odobert.
The report alleges Frank has a better chance of uniting with Isaksen this summer, now that he is in charge of Tottenham and adds that the Serie A club are ready to sell the winger for €25m to €30m (£20.5m-£25.6m).
Tottenham yet to make an approach for Gustav Isaksen
La Lazio Siamo Noi suggest that should Tottenham meet the asking price for the winger, Lazio would find it difficult to turn it down.
However, so far, the Lilywhites have not made any formal approaches for the attacker as they are focusing on reinforcing other areas of the pitch.
The publication adds that Isaksen would be willing to move to London this summer if Spurs come calling, not least because it will help him reunite with his girlfriend, who resides in the English capital.
