Tottenham hatch a £110m transfer plan after Bryan Mbeumo setback

0 0

Tottenham are preparing to shift focus in the transfer market, with Thomas Frank now eyeing a new attacking duo valued at over £110 million, as Bryan Mbeumo edges closer to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to remain active in the summer transfer window, following the confirmed permanent arrivals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso.

The North London club have been linked with several attacking options, including Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who is reportedly high on the list of targets drawn up by new Spurs manager Thomas Frank.

However, Tottenham are not alone in their interest, with Manchester United also pursuing the 25-year-old winger. It is understood that Mbeumo has given the green light to a potential switch to Old Trafford.

Tottenham target Tyler Dibling and Antoine Semenyo as Bryan Mbeumo alternatives

With Bryan Mbeumo now favouring a move to Manchester United, GIVEMESPORT reports that Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to alternative options in the market.

According to the outlet, Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling, who Tottenham value at £45 million despite Southampton’s £100 million valuation, and Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo are now the names on the club’s radar, after it became clear that a reunion between Thomas Frank and Mbeumo at Hotspur Way was off the cards.

Spurs’ interest in both Dibling and Semenyo is not new, with the club said to have kept tabs on them since the winter transfer window. The current situation has, however, accelerated those plans.

With Mbeumo unlikely to arrive, GIVEMESPORT now claim that Tottenham have earmarked Semenyo, who registered 16 goal contributions last season, and Dibling, who was one of the Premier League’s standout breakout stars in the campaign just gone, as potential acquisitions for Thomas Frank.

Antoine Semenyo Stats (Premier League 2024-25)
Appearances:37
Goals:11
Expected goals (xG):9.98
Scoring frequency:292min
Assists:5
Big chances created:11
Successful dribbles:1.9 (55%)

Spurs eye record move for Antoine Semenyo amid Thomas Frank rebuild

Of course, Tottenham are expected to remain very busy throughout the summer, with the club determined to bring in both a left-sided attacker and a right forward before the new Premier League season gets underway.

There is a possibility that Heung-min Son could depart, and although Mathys Tel has committed to a new six-year deal, Spurs are said to be focused on adding more firepower to the final third.

It has also been reported that if Tottenham were to sign Antoine Semenyo this summer, he would have to be their record signing, as Bournemouth are understood to be demanding a fee in excess of £65 million for the winger, and are under no financial pressure to sell.

Interestingly, reports suggest that Thomas Frank will be given a significant budget to reshape the squad, as Spurs push to strengthen ahead of what could be a defining campaign.
