INEOS handed transfer wake-up call amid growing concerns for Amorim

0 0

Manchester United co-owners INEOS have no time to waste as the high-stakes 2025–26 season looms.

The Premier League fixture list for the upcoming campaign was released today.

As revealed by Opta Analyst, Man United face the toughest run of fixtures in the league across the opening five matchdays.

They kick off their season with a blockbuster home game against arch-rivals Arsenal.

Things do not get any easier, with clashes against Manchester City and Chelsea coming in gameweeks four and five, respectively.

Ruben Amorim needs timely backing

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and other top United executives have thrown their support behind Ruben Amorim in recent months.

Despite the horrific results and nightmare 2024-25 campaign, the club hierarchy remains convinced that Amorim is the man to turn the ship around.

The Portuguese head coach sets up his team in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

United have had a storied history of traditional wingers but Amorim prefers his forwards to play more centrally.

He relies on the wing-backs to provide width and deliver crosses into the box.

The Red Devils completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, making the first step towards building the squad around Amorim’s philosophy.

Bryan Mbeumo could be the next addition to the United squad but they are yet to reach an agreement with Brentford on the transfer fee.

Amorim will now have a full pre-season to drill his methods into the squad and shape them in his image.

However, with a brutal start to the campaign, the pressure will mount rapidly if results start to unravel.

INEOS must act decisively and reinforce the squad early in the window before the damage is done.

Leaving key signings to the final days of the window risks undermining the head coach’s preparation and cohesion.

If United truly believe in Amorim, they must back him now with urgency and intent.
