Thomas Frank could offload Ange Postecoglou favourite at Tottenham this summer

0 7

Thomas Frank could decide to greenlight the shock sale of a Tottenham Hotspur man, who was an ever-present in the side under Ange Postecoglou and was praised numerous times by the Australian.

With Frank’s preferred tactical approach being very different to that of his predecessor, there could potentially be significant changes to the Tottenham squad this summer.

It has now emerged that one player who was untouchable under Postecoglou is now potentially on the chopping block as the Dane looks to put his imprint on the Spurs squad.

A couple of days ago, it emerged that Guglielmo Vicario is on AC Milan’s radar, and now a fresh report has suggested that a move to the San Siro could very much be on the cards for the Italian.

Thomas Frank may greenlight Guglielmo Vicario’s move to Milan

This update comes from TBR football, who say that Vicario is indeed near the top of the Rossoneri’s wishlist as they look to find a replacement for the outgoing Mike Maignan.

The outlet says that new Milan boss Max Allegri wants to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is described as the experienced coach’s ‘dream signing’.

However, it is unclear if Paris Saint-Germain would let Donnarumma leave and there is likely to be plenty of competition for the 26-year-old’s services.

Milan are now looking at other options and Vicario is seen as one of the best options on their shortlist, with the report suggesting that the change in management at Tottenham Hotspur could see the former Empoli man’s exit being greenlighted.

Will Tottenham enter the market for a new goalkeeper?

TBR Football suggest that Spurs could use the funds from Vicario’s sale to sign a new goalkeeper this summer as they get started on a new era under the Danish coach.

However, the outlet also floats the possibility that Frank could trust Antonin Kinsky as his number one, with the young Czech goalkeeper now having had six months to settle in at Tottenham since arriving in January from Slavia Prague.

If Tottenham do decide to cash in on the Italian goalkeeper, that will send major shockwaves through the squad, as Vicario was a part of Spurs’ leadership group under Postecoglou.
