Construction is as volatile as its ever been. The spending review should help but never seen as much drive to cut costs to try and maintain/improve profit. Overall current trend is down though.

I run a very niche structural survey company that does a lot of work in telecoms and infrastructure projects. We have been as busy as usual which is good, but the proposed expansions and hires we were planning this year have had to be held for at least another 12 months due to the volatility going on. Some people are really really busy, others are flat on their arses. It’s a really strange time post Covid.
