Man Utd join race for €40m-rated Serie A ace with 15G/A this season

Manchester United have set their sights on Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, as the club looks to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Tuttosport, United are ready to rival Juventus in the race to sign Ndoye, and both clubs are expected to make their move in the coming weeks.

The 24-year-old Swiss international has impressed this season, and reports from Italy suggest the Red Devils could soon enter a bidding war for his services.

Ndoye’s stock has grown rapidly since he joined Bologna from FC Basel in 2023 in a deal reportedly worth €9 million (£7.6m) plus €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons.

Two years down the line, the Serie A side are reportedly demanding a whopping €40m (£33.7m) for their rising star, who is wanted by top clubs in Italy and England.

His performance in the Coppa Italia final may have added a couple more million to his rapidly increasing price tag.

The Swiss star helped Bologna end their 51-year wait for a major trophy, netting the only goal in a 1-0 win against AC Milan to steer La Rossa to the Coppa Italia title.

So far this season, Ndoye has returned nine goals and six assists in 40 games across all competitions for Bologna and could be a shrewd addition to any side.

The ex-Basel star is almost certain to leave Bologna this summer. His agent, Fahd Adamson Mansoor, has fuelled speculation by confirming the increasing interest from elite clubs across Europe.

“Many clubs want him, and I can’t deny that we receive requests from Europe every day,” he said.

“Bologna sold some of their best players last summer, and we’ll see what they want to do now. There are requests, and surely he’s ready for the next step.”

Ndoye would be an exciting addition for United, even though he doesn’t fall under the “world class” category, but the Red Devils have Juventus to contend with.

The Serie A giants have sent scouts to watch him on multiple occasions, but United have a decent relationship with Bologna, so they’ll fancy their chances.
