Club’s Grand gesture for Community Groups
MORE THAN 1000 supporters benefitted from Queen’s Park community ticket initiatives last season.
Some experienced live football for the very first time.
Our drive to build even stronger connections to the southside community saw local groups and neighbours come along to Hampden together to sample the Spiders’ matchday experience.
Backed by sponsors McGoldrick’s Pool & Sports Bar, based in Rutherglen Main Street, kids’ football teams, bowling clubs and other activity groups were guests of the club throughout season 2024-25.
And so were a variety of charity partners.
Aware Scotland participants enjoyed coaching sessions with Louis Longridge and later took in the match against Dunfermline, while generous QP fans also dug deep to support Kilbryde Hospice, Funding Neuro and the Brain Tumour charity at games throughout the William Hill Championship campaign.
In all it has been another successful season for the club and it’s community links and head of commercial Kieran Koszary said: “We have witnessed a wonderful turnout throughout the season from a range of community partners.
“As a club at the heart of the southside we love seeing local people engage with the club – especially for the first time.
“Our Tickets for Schools programme is well established but bringing people from outside the classroom and within the local community is just as important to us and we’ve loved seeing so many groups and people taking up our matchday offering and backing the team.
“Their added support has been beneficial and we hope that in return, our support for our charity partners has also benefitted them too.
“I’d like to thank all the Queen’s Park fans throughout the season who have helped each good cause and have welcomed each community group to our games, creating special memories for them all.”
