Red Sox’s Triston Casas Undergoes Successful Surgery After Injury
The Boston Red Sox have decisions to make with Triston Casas out for the season.
Casas ruptured his patella tendon in his left knee in Friday’s game against the Minnesota Twins. Two days later, Casas had surgery to begin his rebab process, per a team statement.
“Boston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas today underwent a successful left patellar tendon repair,” the Red Sox shared in the statement Sunday. “The repair was performed by Dr. Eric Berkson at Massachusetts General Hospital.”
Casas starts his track back to the field in 2026 while the Red Sox have to consider internal and external options to replace his production.
